The overall goal of the SAIF Project is to improve the well-being of American Indian / Alaska Native (AI / AN ) children by providing healthy relationship education to AI / AN families, couples, and youth; and in developing role models and mentors for healthy relationships.
Families and couples will meet weekly for four months with a therapist for intensive sissions. Then, they will meet with the therapist once a month for eight months of follow-up. Couples who complete the project will be invited to serve as mentors for other families.
Non-intensive educational workshops are provided on a monthly basis.
Participants will recieve incentives for regular participation, such as:
• Retail Store Gift Cards
• Restaurant Gift Cards
• Movie Passes
• Bus Tokens and Gas Cards are provided for those with transportation needs
• Meals and Snacks are provided at all workshops
