Seven Generations has a contract with The Department of Mental Health to provide mental health services to children who have medi-cal insurance.
We also a contract with The Department of Mental Health that helps families identify individual strengths, removes the barriers that keep people from getting employed, helps people build job hunting and work skills, finds child care, and many other services.

UAII Seven Generations National Evaluation

The National Evaluation a family driven and youth guided evaluation that allows us to gather information on the effectiveness of the programs offered to our clients. In order to meet the needs of our community and be able to provide the best services possible, it is crucial that we get feedback from our clients.
Your Participation in the National Evaluation will:
-Keep services alive for American Indian/ Alaskan Native youth of Los Angeles County
-Improve services for future generations of American Indians
-Ensure future funding for our family programs at Seven Generations
-Provide us with information that will help us determine service needs of our clients
-Allow us to provide you with culturally relevant care
-Make us accountable for our Native youth’s treatment needs

Family Support Program

Services include:
-Emergency Basic Support Services
-Parent-Child and/or Family Centered Cultural Activities
-Health, Parenting and/or Education programs
-Case Management Services
-Linkage Services

Family Preservation Program

Services are available to families who are referred from the Department of Child and Family Services or the Probation Department.
Services Include:
-Case Referral Assessment
-Emergency Response Family Preservation Services
-Voluntary Family Maintenance
-Supplemental Services such as Counseling, Child Focused Activities, and Transportation
-Linkage Services such as Childcare, Employment, Housing, and Healthcare.

Counseling Services

“Seven Generations” refers to a core philosophical value of American Indians, which states that for the well being of future generations, the responsibility rests on every generation that comes before them. If we act and make decisions that have the best interest of the Seventh Generation, our unborn generation, we will ensure healthy future generations of American Indians.

The Seven Generations Child and Family Counseling Services were developed to meet the growing mental health needs of American Indian children and their families in Los Angeles County.

All services provided are culturally sensitive to American Indians. Seven Generations serves a unique function in helping the Los Angeles American Indian children and their families to become healthy and productive members of our community. Seven Generations has a “Systems of Care” approach to services that are based on the premise that the mental health needs of children and adolescents can be best met within their home, school, and community and families and youth should be the driving force in the transformation of their own care.

Program Services

-Individual, family and group therapy and parent education classes
-In-Home and Wraparound Services
-Child mental health services, advocacy at school meetings
-Traditional Healing/Cultural and Traditional Activities
-Access to medication support and Psychological Assessment
-Case management, education and outreach groups
-Evaluation

This program provides services for American Indian women and families who
have been victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and is funded
through the Office of Criminal Justice Planning.
Support services include: Individual and group counseling, Case Management, advocacy, emergency transportation, and community outreach and trainings.

System of Care

A 6-year grant to establish a full array of mental health and support services organized into a coordinated network. The System of Care intends to meet the unique clinical and functionalneeds of each American Indian child and family in
Los Angeles County referred to our program.

CHAT Program

American Indian youth under 18 who have experienced violence, trauma, or abuse are eligible for this program. The program provides culturally-centered healing, crime victim compensation information, court/police/legal advocacy, crisis help, and Victim Witness Assistance.
